How far do you think your projects could go if you received €25,000 to develop them?

Which of your projects address clear clinical needs? How many of them need resources? How many competitive calls have you applied to, and with what level of success? How often have you found that the call guidelines restricted how you could spend the funds raised, and it didn’t match your project’s needs?

Now, take a trip to the future: where do you think your project will be in 18 months if you receive €25,000 to develop it?

Probably not in Phase III or close to CE marking, but maybe you’ve financed the business plan guiding your spin-off incorporation. Maybe you’ve carried out that critical experiment that the investor has been asking for to take your project seriously. Maybe you’ve managed to keep your post-doc employed until the next funding call opens, and the project hasn’t stopped.
